Speak the Speech 2/8/23-3/29/23
Join Artistic Director and instructor Melon Wedick for Speak the Speech! This 8-week class is a deep-dive into techniques of script analysis and performance. Students will learn tools to unlock the meaning in Shakespeare's words, allowing them to speak both prose and verse fluently and conversationally. Students leave the class with one memorized verse monologue suitable for use in auditions. Ages 16 and up; appropriate for all experience levels. This class will meet on Wednesday Nights, Feb 2 - March 22, 2023, from 6:30-9:00pm, at Asheville Performing Arts Academy, 55 Shiloah Rd, Asheville, 28801.
